The short version

Sorted UK is built to know as little about you as possible. There is no account, and we do not collect or sell personal data.

Location

The app uses your location only on your device, to centre the map and show what is near you. It is never linked to your identity. When you search, only the map coordinates of the search area are sent to our services to return nearby results. If you save a spot for your car, that position is stored only on your phone.

On-device storage

Small preferences are stored only on your phone: your parking clock, saved places, your car spot, and reminder dates for MOT, tax, insurance and appeal deadlines. Clearing the app removes them.

Network

To show live results the app requests open data from OpenStreetMap, CARTO map tiles, the NHS and other open datasets (via finddentist.co.uk), and a UK postcode and place lookup (postcodes.io) when you search. On startup it may also fetch a small announcements file. These requests include only a map area, coordinates or the text you type, never your identity. Appeal letters are built entirely on your device; nothing you type into the fine tool is transmitted anywhere.

No tracking

The app uses no advertising or analytics trackers and sets no tracking cookies. This website sets no cookies at all. If this ever changes, this policy will be updated first.

Parking, EV and Blue Badge locations © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Dentist, GP and pharmacy information from the NHS Directory of Healthcare Services.
